No. This surges at all speeds and while driving. It is less severe in high speed (aka "sport). It's at the dealership right now. Hoping they can figure out what's wrongThey all seem to surge when pulling away if that is what you are talking about
I've only driven it less than 3 hours. Essentially brand new.HOW Many miles ? If it has any amount of miles on it, if it were me I would tell them to clean the clutches. They are known if dirty they could stick some. Just a thought may not be it, but it is there now so may be worth getting it done.
Well, I just bought a new Ridge, and mine did the same thing on starting to move.........it jerked and surged. My dealer said Kawi wanted the clutch shimmed because it was tight. I am going to pick it up this week.............I will keep you posted.Bought a new 2026 Ridge Inline4 and am having problems with it surging during acceleration. It doesn't matter what power range or gear it's in. Very frustrating. Ideas or thoughts on what could be causing this?
Thank you. This validates my experience. Mine is still at the shop and have heard nothing other than they have to order parts. It's been about three weeks in the shop now.Well, I just bought a new Ridge, and mine did the same thing on starting to move.........it jerked and surged. By the way..............I owned a Boat Dealership for over 16 years. Definitely giving the dealership a call, but I like the idea of calling Kawasaki.By the way..............I owned a Boat Dealership for over 16 years. When I had a motor or boat issue that I could not resolve due to parts or something on the Engine or Boat end, that I had
no control of..........I always had the customer call the manufacturers customer service. Most of them do not like these calls, and when a customer explains what is going on
and "I bought a Kawasaki because of XYZ, but after this experience with a new machine, I am thinking I should have bought a Polaris", somebody will get on the horn with the
dealership and make something happen. I had engines I could not get parts for no matter what I did, and all of a sudden, I got a call from Yamaha or Evinrude, and parts were
there the next day. Trust me it works.............and with the way Kawi introduced the Ridge............bad press and unhappy customers are not to their liking.
Trust me............if in fact it is a part issue, the dealer will love you for doing it. If for some reason the dealership is sitting on their hands or has no clue as to how to fixDefinitely giving the dealership a call, but I like the idea of calling Kawasaki.
