I agree with you! Even if they are comparable in price I'm much more interested in the inline 4-cylinder engine and the reliability of Kawasaki products.Kawasaki has a Great Chance to Steal alota Sales from Polaris Over Priced XD 1500. IAM a Polaris Ranger NorthStar owner myself. Iam Hoping they undercut Polaris by about 5K on a Simular Equiped Ridge..I will Be Riding Green Again.
I've never Had any real Trouble with my Rangers..normal Maitence Items. But I've Never had any Trouble with My Kawasakis I've Owned either. But this New Ridge is Gonna shake things up...especially if it's Priced Right.
Welcome to the site @68dodgerammanI just hope they price it reasonably, not like the Polaris Xpedition at 44 grand!
Wow, sorry to hear you have had so many problems with with your new Xpedition. I hope that your dealer makes it right and gets your oil leak covered by Polaris since that is a widespread issue.I purchased the Xpedition Northstar and have been plagued with problems. Upon getting it home from the dealer the inside rear view mirror fell off and was on the floor. The glue failed. First ride it popped a front axle out of the differential. Next was an unexplained check engine light that was blamed on poor fuel quality. The latest is a leaking oil pan that is showing up on many Xpeditions. Mine was caught two days out of the skimpy six month warranty. The repair requires pulling the motor which is pretty involved on all-enclosed models like mine. I heard 15 plus hours labor. I have less than 900 miles on this unit. The ride quality is superb but it is super noisy on the inside. It's one expensive, noisy, gas guzzling machine.
I am so waiting for the Ridge and to see if its a good competitor to the Xpedition. And I'm sure the factory warranty will be longer than Polaris's lousy six months. I have been waiting years for Kawasaki to come out with an enclosed cab with heat and a/c. Hopefully they get it right!
