Although I absolutely love the new machine there are a few gremlins that Kawasaki needs to iron out.
The bad
The doors are made of a low quality polymer plastic, that shrinks under cold conditions. And has progressively warped more since new. The front knuckles will rust along with the axles. Which is fixable by cleaning and painting. The rear control arms need guards to protect the paint from pitting. Because they just get blasted. The doors do not seal all that well. Which is fixable by adding your own additional weather stripping. There is one hell of a air leak in both front corners of the dash, which lets the dust and cold air fly in. -20celcius the heater barely keeps up. Whenever in deeper snow or mud, Low range as always. The cvt light flashes and the belt chirps, as well as feels underpowered in those situations. The fuel cap has an intense pressure build up which can send the fuel cap across the fuel station. (which is fixable by changing the vent valve they provide). There is also a growling noise which I believe to be on the passenger side where the plastic hamster cage resides. (Have not figured it out yet)
The Good
The unit rides smooth is very comfortable especially on rougher terrains. It has excellent clearance. Is an absolute fun time to drive. It is nice that someone built a machine with enough room to accommodate bigger tires unlike Polaris who does not. I have added almost every accessory that is available and all have been awesome. I look forward to adding more as time comes.
Kawasaki really needs to do something to offer locking doors. That would be awesome.
