Anyone try the new kit, it is suppose to reduce the RPMS and get rid of the jerky take off. It has adjustable weights for different riding preference also. I watched a video on it and if it even fixes the jerky take off may be worth it.

I bought that kit . Plus there exhaust. Very pleased

Ordered mine this week probably be a couple weeks getting to Canada will post my findings when installed.

Which setup did you put in the weights? How was the take off? Did it get rid of that jerky take off ? Any difference in the RPM. Any other observations you noticed?

As of now I put the cruiser set up in. And I purchased the cover. As for the jerky take off. It did help. I have also noticed. Let your machine warm up. And use normal mode. There’s a detailed set up sheet from them. You can basically make it the way you want by playing with the weights .

For sure. Helps with the 30in tires also.
You put the clutch kit in yourself? I’d have no clue how to. How much was the kit? I finally got to ride the machine around for awhile yesterday for the first time since break in and I don’t care for the 6300rpms at 40 mph. Sounds like the engine is maxed out even though it’s not.

Put the kit in and used the cruiser set up only went for shot drive up the road RPMS were way down and I did notice a difference in power . This set up is smooth but not quite as snappy in midrange. I will be playing with the set up to try and get a little more power and still try to keep the RPMS down somewhat. It appears to me lowering the RPMS to much does effect power as I assumed it would. I will play with the setup some when I get time to test it on good dry roads.

Changed my kit to a different AA setup more on the performance setup. Huge difference from the Cruiser setup I used first, way more power and more speed on top end. With this setup you don't drop much RPM maybe 400rpms. but way more pull especially off the line. The only issue I have is the belt squeeze, seems to be less, I do notice in the heavy snow the belt slips, even in low range I get a bit of slip. When you need a lot of power to the wheels to over come wheel pressure, you get some slip. Now you can change the weights in the clutch which will help the more weight you add the less slip but also less performance. So it takes some different set-ups to get what you are happy with.

Anyone that installed the AA clutch kit should definitely check out this form I am involved in, a lot of good info about the kit and the problems we are having with it. The weights are sticking and could cause serious problems in your clutch.

It's a different spring, and I was told you can get the aftermarket kit for ~$70, but you have to install it yourself (and then don't tell or the warranty will.ve void).

Hello all! Long winded, I know but I just wanted to share my honest opinion of my interaction with Aftermarket Assassins. I am writing this not because I have any animosity towards Aftermarket Assassins but because I believe that they are intentionally difficult to deal with in regards to returns (As other users on here have also stated.) Please be aware of this if you are planning on making a purchase from them.
I started reading this thread in the forum and was impressed by the reviews of the AA Clutch kit for the Kawasaki Ridge. I too, don’t like the jerky start with the Ridge but I can live with the higher RPM’s.
I went online and placed an order on 3/12/2025 at 3:22 Central Time for the 2024 – Up Kawasaki Ridge 1000 S1 Clutch Kit with Overdrive + Cruiser Options for $485.00. Aftermarket Assassins generously offered a 5% coupon code (rzrforum if anyone wants to use it). This bought the total to $496.14 with shipping and tax.
Right after placing the order, I went back to the forum. I didn’t initially realize that there was 7 pages to this post but after reading the rest of the thread, I was dismayed to find out that a few customers were having problems with the sticking and wear on the pins. I tend to put a lot of miles on and I didn’t want to have to disassemble and grease the pins every 150 miles or so and I was also concerned about voiding the factory warranty. In fairness to Aftermarket Assassins, they claim to have found a fix with an industrial lubricant and grease. However, other than the companies claim, there hasn’t been any long term testing done to prove this works and I didn’t want to take the gamble.
After finding this out, I went online and looked at their return policy which can be found here: Aftermarket Assassins It basically states that if an order is cancelled before shipping, there is a 3% processing fee but if you return a new part, there is a 15% restocking fee plus you pay shipping both ways.
I attempted to cancel this order within less than 1 hour of placing the order but there is no method to do this on their website other than sending them a message through their site or an e-mail and they specifically state on the site to only try to contact them once or it will “slow us down”.
I used their “Contact Us” form to send them a message saying that I wanted to cancel my order before 4:30 pm. I did not receive a reply until the following morning but I received a tracking message from UPS stating that my order was picked up at 5:46 pm. (Aftermarket Assassins claims that it was picked up between 4:30 to 5:00 and that my message didn’t come through until 5:34 pm, but I am going off of the tracking information.) It is my opinion (and only my opinion) that Aftermarket Assassins saw my message, intentionally ignored it and shipped the order anyway in the hopes that they could either charge me the 15% restocking fee or that I would be discouraged and just keep it.
I would understand a 15% (Around $100.00 total with shipping both ways) restocking fee for an open package but I offered to return the package unopened, pay shipping both ways and pay the 3% cancellation fee for cancelled orders. Aftermarket Assassins offered to lower the fee to 10% plus I would still pay shipping both ways. (Around $70.00 total with shipping both ways).
I felt that this was an unfair business practice since I wasn’t even going to open the box and the order probably could have been cancelled before it shipped. I told Aftermarket Assassins that if they didn’t offer the 3% charge (and I pay shipping both ways even though the order could have been cancelled.) that I would write an honest, negative review on all 3 Kawasaki Ridge Forums and by word of mouth, discourage anyone in the UTV Community from buying their products. I also told them that a negative review would cost them more in lost revenue than the $50.00 to $75.00 they were trying to collect.
Aftermarket Assassins accused me of threatening them and intentionally trying to give them a bad name. I said that I was just going to write an honest review (in my opinion) and said that I was not trying to hurt their company but their business practices were what was hurting their company. He replied, “You are. Very hurtful and you are not a good person. Look forward to your posts” I understand people get upset but they have a right to set their policies and customers have a right to submit a review. In my opinion, this is another sign that if they get angry with a customer instead of trying to fix the problem then maybe they are not “easy people to deal with” as their website claims.
Oh, and if anyone on here wants it, I will sell you the above mentioned kit, unopened for $100.00 less than I paid for it. (You pay shipping.) That’s what it would cost me to send it back to Aftermarket Assassins. 😊
