First I am embarrassed to say I did not even test drive a Ridge model before I picked one up yesterday. I had done some research on Kawasaki, Polaris, Can-Am online and just liked what I read and saw about the Ridge. So found the best deal price wise and went and picked up yesterday. I have only driven it for a short loop down my street. It feels like it is in low or the differentials locked even though I don't have that selected. So even going around 15-20mph it seems like the engine is revving really high and you almost don't want to go any faster. Is this normal or is something wrong? Amateur hour here but I don't know what is going on.

I also only took a short ride around the parking lot, seems to turn a lot of rpm for such a slow speed. I haven’t noticed anything about the rear differential feeling like it’s locked, I was surprised that it turned as good as it does on asphalt without a turf mode. I’ve only put 8 miles on it so got a lot to learn.

Some of that as well is the design. After the 20 hour break in ours seemed to not be quite as bad. But still it seems higher rpm. I think if you research it you will see it’s how they design it with that inline 4 cylinder. Good machine we love ours and it with out a doubt get up and go.

I did figure out the seatbelt thing!! Didn’t see anything about it in the manual but knew something was keeping it from going over 10mph!!
